Tomezsko worked with more than 100 people with the Color Me Back: Same Day Work and Pay Program and from Tacony and elsewhere, who participated in a paint event at the Tacony LAB Community Arts Center.

Artists joining Tomezsko in the work were Hector Luis Alicea III, Katie Brown, Danilo Carbonell, Nichole Miller Cook, Kyle Henry, Jamaar Johnson and Adrian Reyes.

Community Garden is an arrangement of hundreds of colorful images of local vegetation, including flowers, fruit, vegetables, trees and grass.

Speakers included Tomezsko; Jane Golden, executive director of Mural Arts Philadelphia; and Iris Lozada, Manager of Community Based Services Development, the city Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, which is a supporter of art.

The event also featured pizza and a DJ.

Golden and Tomezsko thanked Steve and Sandy Sheller, for funding the mural; Barb Baur, of the Tacony LAB; and the Tacony Community Development Corporation. ••
